Are you considering adding or renovating a large outdoor space on your property? Perhaps a simple patio, with an outdoor kitchen, maybe including a fire pit and seating area? You may have noticed that a new trend has begun for these situations.
Some of the elite paver manufacturers are now offering paver systems comprised of larger dimension stones. This is a great shift from the “norm” for an outdoor area.
Does this new idea make sense? Why would anyone want this for an outdoor patio? Aren’t large tiles meant to be in large indoor spaces?
At first, I may have been guilty of sharing all of those thoughts about these new systems. But let’s think a little deeper before passing judgment.
As we have come to agree, a large tile system really does look great in an indoor space. Knowing this, why couldn’t we incorporate this idea in to our ever evolving outdoor spaces? The larger tile arrangement adds a certain flair and formality to the space that it occupies. This can be especially desirable in larger patios and outdoor kitchens. As I’m sure you know the possibilities are almost endless now with outdoor kitchens and entertainment areas.
Know that there are several options now for this type of construction. If I could, I would like to nominate one of my favorites though. Anchor® is now offering their new RINN™ paving system. This system has a couple different dimensional arrangements, and a few color schemes for each arrangement. I have personally worked with this product and find it to be a great solution for any outdoor space.
