Nutrient-Rich Tree Injections
When you think of fertlizer, you think of using it to create lush green grass and beautiul blooms. But, do you ever consider infusing your trees with key nutrition for growth? Sure, we often overlook our trees because they are low maintenance. But imagine your landscape without that beautiful oak, elm or flowering cherry tree. Many trees are located in an ideal environment with rich soil. These trees may never need anything other than a little pruning. But, not all trees are so lucky. Poor soil texture and low nutrients can cause a tree to suffer. Some are in such bad shape they aren’t growing or have yellow leaves or a thinning canopy.
A nutrient deficiency could be the reason a tree is lacking luster or in poor shape. We recomment micrinutrient injections applied in smaller amounts than the standard nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. These injections can be applied to all deciduous trees as needed. Applications from Barrett are safe to the environment because the process ensures 100% of the nutriuent goes into the tree at the injection site. That means no residue, smell or runoff. The result is a tree that is healthy and vibrant.
Barrett’s applicators are also trained by Arbor-jet and licensed by the Minnesota Department of Agriculture to treat Emerald Ash Borer. A single Ash tree holds a value from $1,000-$10,000. Tree injections are far more affordable and environmentally friendly then the alternative of losing the tree and the cost of removal. One treatment is applied in the spring or fall and is effective for 2 years. Proper training and education give us the ability to diagnose and treat trees that are subject to this invasive pest.
