Tree Pruning / Trimming
Tree pruning (also called “trimming”) is the most important way property owners can care for a tree over the course of its life. Pruning a young tree gives it a healthy start and maximizes its benefits to your property. Maintaining good pruning practices minimizes storm damages and injury from falling branches. At the end of a tree’s life, tree removal is the final pruning.
Tree & Stump Removal
Why Remove a Tree from Your Property?
We remove trees for many reasons. Property owners often want to remove a tree when it is:
Sick with disease or pest infestation. Removal helps prevent sickness spreading to healthy trees.
Dead or dying. Creates a safety hazard for people, animals, buildings, or other trees.
Structurally unsafe. Think large hollows, open cracks, large branch failures.
Unattractive or “in the way.” We may or may not agree with you here.
If Possible, Wait Until Winter
We encourage customers with large trees that are not an immediate danger to structures or people to consider waiting until winter for tree removal. Frozen ground reduces lawn damage from the felling of the trunk and larger branches and yard compaction from the mini track loader we use to move large logs. If winter removal is not possible, don’t worry; we can deploy plywood and used tires (as turf protection) to minimize yard damage during the growing season, but the extra time and care can often add to your quoted price.
